Both are awesome in totally different ways.
In the states, I love going to Chicago during summer time and the southwest (Grand Canyon, Zion, etc.) in winter. Abroad, I would love to go to Sweden, Portugal, and Argentina. Portugal is a very cheap place to travel in Europe even with the onset of the euro. Argentina is remarkably cheap compared to other South American destinations (notably Brazil). Especially with the economy these days, these places are a bargain!
