He's brilliant. I have a copy of one of his paintings in my hall- it's called "the Butler" I think.
What I particularly love about Vettriano, is how the luvvies of the "art establishment" go out of their way to try to revile him at every opportunity.
Mr Vettriano also has strongly expressed views on "gaiety" and I respect him for expressing these views in public ( another thing which brings the disapproval of the "arty " fraternity, of course)

I LOVE Jack Vettriano. I first saw a print of his work when our pub got refurbished. I`ve got some canvasses now. I really like BILLY BOYS, the old-fashioned men in suits walking on the beach.
My parents have about 20 or so of his pictures all over their house. For some strange reason he isn't taken serious by so called art critics but when have we ever sat up and taken note of what they think. He has an original style and his pictures are easy on the eye. That's enough for me. I like his work.
Yes, he painted that painting where there are two men one a beach i think holding an umbrella for a woman. Some of his art is pretty good and has been mentioned on the new quite a bit in the past i think.
