I prefer my guy to be either neatly trimmed or clean shaven too! We don't like getting noodles in our teeth either!
Edit: I haven't been itchy for years other than for imbalanced PH. Shaving every other day or every two days helps.

I am a guy and clean Shaven as well, No one wants to use a troy built weed whacker to enjoy oral. So Keep it shaved, No hair balls that way , no pun intended -- or maybe it was.
