I don't think they need to realize that their ideas sound ridiculous to other people...[society]. I know that what I say may sound ridiculous or abnormal to the 'norms' of society, but I know what I'm talking about.
You live 150 years ago, someone comes up to you and says ... "You know, I've just had an idea. what if I could invent a little box that you could carry in your pocket which listen to hours of your favourite music. But hang on, people around you wouldn't like that. So what if, the music could travel up a wire, straight into your ears? There's more too. what if, not only could you listen to music again and again on a tiny little piece of metal that stored it but what if you could flick a switch and you would be able to hear any kind of music you wanted, sent through the air on invisible waves broadcast from a little room miles from where you were ... live?"
