Finally a fellow POP lover!

that is strange i think here a 2 liter is like 1.29 where a 20 ounce is like anywhere from 1.10 - 1.50 depending on where you are at.

I guess it's the convenience thing. put it in a smaller bottle and charge the same or more because that is what people will buy when on the go. Oh and make sure you have them in a cooler keeping them cold!!

cuz thats what people are willing to pay for it and the 2 liter might be on sale

LOL I just laughed, have no answer for that, sorry

because of the 'convenience' of the small bottle.
they know you're not going to drive around handling a
2liter bottle, even cup holders aren't that big.........

convenience = inflated prices

People are willing to pay for the convenience of the smaller bottle, and it's usually cold, too.

And you're right...it is pop.

I don't understand it..... I buy the 2 liter anyway. I want more for my money!

Because you probably see the small bottle at convenience store prices and the big bottle at grocery store prices. Convenience stores jack up the prices on everything, sometimes ridiculously (ever try to buy dog food at one?).

It's all marketing , money.

B/c its cold and they gotta run there fridge all day for your cold drink so they make you pay alittle extra for it being cold. Now me personaly dont pay that much for a 16oz ill by a 2 liter first w/ a cup of ice b/for i do that lol. Now if you buy it and its not cold and its still that much, just buy the 2 liter.

because consumers are dumb enough to pay for it.

We call everything Coke here. Even if it's Sprite. I've been waiting for you. Stay tuned birthday boy. ?

Convenience. The smaller bottle is cold and easy to pack around and drink. It's a single serve size. Whereas a 2 liter usually isn't cold and it has many servings. 2D

Charlotte: We call everything "coke" here to.

OOOO yea....never noticed that LOL...that's soo true!!!

lmao I have so wondered that myself!!

Actually it's because of the cost of the containers. When you have 2 liters of liquid you have the choice of using one container (i.e. the 2 ltr bottle) or putting the same amount of liquid in many containers (i.e. the 16 oz bottles). The company pays more for the many containers than the one, so they charge more for the smaller containers.

It's the same with anything.. the more packaging needed, the higher the cost.

Because most people buy something they can drink at that moment and knowing they can't drink a whole 2 liters they make the 16 oz which means they will sell more like that and people can't resist and apparently don't think .So they raise the price on the 16 oz........ Isn't the goverment intelligent!!!

It isn't Pop or soda pop. it is just soda referring to the carbonated water or soda water used as the base of the drink. Pop doesn't make any sense because nothing in it pops

Your right Hank...The friggin soda industry has us by the short hairs!

a 16 ounce bottle is more convenient, your paying for convenience

you'd look funny walking around drinking from a 2 liter

Beats me it csts £0.99 ($2.00) clear up to £2.00 ($4.00) for a 16oz here and £1.50 ($3.00) for a 2liter
