Question: Lets just say,.... hypothetically of course.... that you went to a bar with a friend to have a drink.. oh and did I mention my friend is gay and we went to a bar that is.... well mostly a gay bar... anyway... the peanut bowl is empty so I yell to the bartender..." When you have a chance can I have some more peanuts.." which sounded a whole lot like "penis".....as the bar went silent ... needless to say, I didnt need to buy any more drinks last night..

That happens to me lots!! I have a habit of yelling and often think what I am yelling is incredibly funny/insightful/important! It's embarrasing when you hit that wall of silence and notice that everybody is looking at you like you are a weirdo (which in my case I am!!)

The worst moment for me in party history was I was at a party that was mostly blacks. Everyone was saying Niggaaaa this and nigggaaa that, and then I said Niggaaa this, thinking it was cool (I'm white) and the whole damned party went silent.
A friend of mine came to the rescue and everything was cool, but he explained it like this. It's ok to talk trash about your own grandmother, but its not ok for others.
Now I understand.
So, I got this black teacher friend of mine, and in private, I call him a frigging nigggaaa, and he calls me a white piece of trash. In public, it's all respect.
