No, I read fashion magazines to them and read in a quiet playful tone.

In 6th Grade We Had 3rd Grade Reading Buddies And Mine was A Little Exchange Girl Who Couldnt Read Well And I Would Always Do That... Until She Memorized The Story... *Gulp*

Haha, totally! Children's books these days are long and not always fun to them either.

Used to try that with my youngest but she knew all the stories by heart so she would call me down.

Yes. Sometimes I elaborate on the story and add what happens after the book ended. The untold story.

LOL,that's funny.. But no.. I like to read page by page,and get them to read along with me,to practice there reading skills. And I think they enjoy it more when they help out too.. : )

I leave out all of the adjectives and adverbs.

or change the story.
