It sux -- I am on so many no-call lists, yet they still call me, and yes, at dinner, or during a strenuous bout of curly shuffling. And rage doesn't seem to translate into Hindi. Maybe if you kept taking them off subject, like you just need to talk to someone "I am so alone...." lol. It would at least freak out that telemarketer. I feel your pain boo.

Oh yeah, they are trained to do that....especially to call around dinnertime, when most people are home.
Just ask them to hold, I have an earache. I mess with them but it's become less and less fun because most of the time they just hang up on me.
They don't call me anymore. I'm on the 'do not call list'. I did it online. Besides, I screen all my calls through an answering machine, plus I have a block on my phone that prevents blocked or anonymous #'s from getting thru. I am well fortified!! My own mother can't get a hold of me unless I acccept the call. (hee-hee)

Just hang up, without saying a word, the second you realize it's a "junk call".
Just leave the phone on the table and let them talk to thereselves.
OK, here's what you've got to do, next time you get a call from one, say hang on a sec, set the phone down, but don't hang up, then take a nice long vacation, when you return, ask them to repeat everything.
Get a phone answering machine and screen your calls. Telemarketers hate them and just move on the the next number on their list.
i used to telemarket.. its mad money so i hope they keep talking so there actually EARNING it......
btw, they call at stupid times cuz there not just in the country your in, they're located evrywhere, most people get calls from Indians.... IM AUSSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Caller ID usually lets you know ahead of time who is calling you, and telemarketers that call you at home usually know what times are the best to reach someone, seems they always call you when you have just sat down to eat dinner.
I myself have done a few years of telemarketing, but never calling people's homes, I liked selling products to companies, such as fax machines, computers and other types of high-ticket items that have solid reputations and excellent after the sale customer service reps, that are used to dealing with business owners and chief executive officers.
