Do YOU like BUSH?!?!

Question: Id rather have my lawn trimmed neat and tidy

Answers: Id rather have my lawn trimmed neat and tidy

I love Bush!

Great band from Toronto, Ontario Canada!
They played my high school in that city twice if I remember, and each time was a stellar performance.
The band line up was; Dominic Troiano-Guitar/vocals, Penti "Whitey" Glan-Drums Roy Kenner-Vocals, Prakash John-Bass.
Troiano, Glan and Kenner had played previously with the Toronto band 'Mandala', who evolved into 'Bush' in '69/70.
The original vinyl was released on RCA's Dynaflex label in 1970.
The music ranged from hard rocking blues infected funky jams, to well constructed shorter songs that almost had commercial potential.
Dominic Troiano was an amazing guitarist to watch live. He was very creative, and blew me away back in the day by playing lead and rhythm simultaneously!
The record was fairly popular in Canada, throughout the early 70's.

The album was reissued again on 'Freedom Records' (Canada) with a totally different cover in 1981.
It depicted the band standing with their backs turned. The photos of the band were taken in 1981, so at the time the reissued album may have mislead or confused people. When I bought the '81 version, I had this tiny fear that the songs were going to be new renditions. I was glad however to discover they were indeed the originals.

I bought the CD reissue released by Pasqua Music of Canada in 1995, and it sounds quite nice. There's nearly a half hour of live bonus material. One of the bonus tracks is a 20 minute version of 'Cross Country Man', which was also featured on the original LP, but that version only clocked in at 4 minutes.
The live tracks were recorded at 'The Bitter End' in Los Angeles June 5th & 6th 1971, and the recording quality is good.
The liner notes are very interesting, and they include an entire review from the L.A. Forum done by R.E. Maxon. Judging by what he wrote, he was blown away too!
They opened for Iron Butterfly, Vanilla Fudge, and several other notable groups of the time.

Dominic of course went on to replace Joe Walsh in 'The James Gang', along with vocalist Roy Kenner. Dom also had an interesting solo career.

Prakash John and Whitey Glan wound up playing for Lou Reed, and Alice Cooper on several albums.

Sadly Dominic passed away a couple years ago, but left behind a wonderful legacy of music.

I still really enjoy the Bush album, and it brings back a lot of great memories for me.

Back in the 90's, there was a UK band that used the name Bush also. From what I recall, they were told they could not use the name legally, so they became Bush X. I think at some point they were allowed to drop the X, and called themselves Bush.

Edit - EsTriN!!!
You're not the only one with a sense of humor...LOL

Not the ones in the White House or the ones outside my window.

Nope,

haha absolutely not. so glad he's almost gone!

As a person, or as a president? Or both?
I can't make up my mind. I liked him better before this year. I believe him, I really think he's doing the best he can. Not the best we need. But as a person, he's cute. Can't get over the 'nukuler" thing that easy.
