Do you find it annoying when shop assistants come over to you to offer their hel!

Question: No, because that is their job. I find it annoying when they sit around talking or don't bother to even greet people. They ignore people. At least the one who asks is being conscious and doing their job and I can say no thank you.

especially when your on the toilet

Yes.
Sure, half the time I haven't a clue what's going on anyway. It doesn't help when they confuse me more.

Yes I hate that. Only 1 time did I ask for help and she was great!

It depends what kind of store I'm in.

No, if I don't want any help I just smile and say, no, thank you. I find it more annoying when I need help and I can't find anyone or they pretend not to see you and walk away!!

Yes

Yes I do. Ever since I was little, I'm 29 now, I have always believed that if I have a question I will ask them - they don't need to go out of their way.

Once? No. Three or four times? Definitely.

well, when they come over and say hi, fine, but then when they hang around you, listening to your conversations but not offering to help, yeah, that annoys me. please excuse the fact that i did use punctuation. i'm too lazy right now.
peace and love?

i find it very annoying, if i want help to find something i'll ask, though i work in a shop & we have to do it, which i find very annoying. some people are fine but some you can tell they just want to say pIsS off if i want help i'll look for you.,

aaargh ...YES YES YES.
Have you ever been the Disney store that is truly THE worst.
and Claires accessories always shoving a bloody basket in your hand.
or when they come and talk to you about what you have in your hand puts me right off!!!

yeah, usually I do... I just wish they would leave me alone

They never come to me.
Sometimes I'm there, struggling to get something down from the top shelf and no one bothers to ask if I need help.

I don't mind if they ask if I need help,I mind if they "hang" on my while I shop. Usually I say "I'll let you know if I need anything"...that means go away, Don't call me, I'll call you kind of thing. They just want that commission

I hate it when a salesman won't leave you alone, when you are browsing at car sales, they keep hounding you, to push you into a corner.

yes but i find it equally annoying that when you need help you can never find anyone

I prefer it if they come and ask once, as I may need some assistance, but some places, like Radio Shack, a different assistant pounces on you for each aisle you walk down, so you can get asked like 6 times in the same shop. Then when you tell them what you need, they have to fetch the manager because they can't understand the technicality of your question anyway.

I do, a classic example I was in Spain in several of the perfume shops, I knew what I wanted but was having a browse with a view to picking up my purchase on the way out of the shop.

I was jumped on on more times than I'd like to remember, and on each time walked out quite calmly.

It was only when I went into a particular shop and the spanish lady was attentive but not pushy that I spent 375 euros. I felt that the shop had not forced me into buying anything, and with her CLEVER but not in your face selling she managed to sell me and my daughter a load of extra stuff, having said that when we paisd she handed us a bag of freebies.. She did her job, I spent my money and we were all happy.... Some Saleswoman though,,, very good... Perhaps I should go into a shop get jumped on, buy what I want and go.. It would have cost less,, but it was a pleasure.....But here in the UK If I get jumped on I leave the shop. It is really unsettling

I find it annoying especially when they follow you around, yes. I think it is intruding in one personal space. I walk out of a store when I see that.

yes i can't stand it when they do that, they pounce on you the minute you walk in the doors!

omg really annoying, and when you need assistance threes nobody there

i used too....

i've obviously been shopping in the wrong shop!!!!
