Does wearing colored contacts make you a "fake"?!
Question: I naturally have blue eyes. I wear green colored contacts just to make my eyes look a bit prettier.
What I wear is mascara, lip gloss, and green contacts. That's just about it.
I don't understand why girls can wear eyeliner to make there eye appear bigger, or dye there hair, or tan, and them not be called a "fake" but when it comes to me, guys will tell me "shut up, you and your fake eyes" "Mine are better. They're natural. They're not like yours, yours are fake. Mine are real" And I'm like "Shut up, I have naturally blue eyes"
It's sooo annoying. I explode on them everytime they tell me that. How come I'm being labeled a fake?
And the other girls aren't
I'm all natural
What I consider fake is boob implants, surgey to make yourself more pretty, things like that.
Please cheer me up.

I wear colored contacts and wear eyeliner and mascara... thats it.. and no im not called a fake because there are girls where i live that wear SO much makeup that they look COMPLETELY different without makeup... so no.. thats DEF. not fake

it depends if they are enhancers they look great, but the opaque colored contacts look really bad because they make your eye bulge out. Because the iris is flat and when you put the opaque contacts on the fake iris is now curved and on the surface of your eye
Anything to hide, alter, or enhance your looks would be, in my opinion, considered 'fake' since it is deceiving to how you naturally look. But, who cares, right? :)
Most of the time I wouldn't think that wearing colored contacts make you a "fake" unless they look extremely unnatural (ie. white contacts, cat eyes, or red evil eyes).
Personally, I don't think colored eye contacts are any more or less fake than wearing make up.
It can be pretty amazing what one can discover sometimes when a woman takes her make up off. Often, one wants to see some ID to make sure it's the same person.
But, perhaps many people have a different attitude about the eyes because the eyes are considered "the windows to the soul".
Because of this rather ingrained concept, some people may find it more of an affront for someone to wear colored contacts. They may feel like you're trying to be someone else or conceal who you really are.
But, like I said, my opionion is colored contacts are no more or less "false" than wearing make up is.
I actually think colored contacts are cool!
