Have you ever had anyone approach you or call you at your workplace and impulsiv!

Question: I was at the grocery store last night, and my cell phone rang. I answered it, and it was a guy who had been asking me tax-related questions about 2 weeks ago, and I had given him my business card. He asked if he could make an appointment with me for Monday, to discuss some further issues and have me file his taxes for him.

Then, out of the blue, he said, "You know, I've never done this before, and I know I'm taking a chance, but I just wanted to let you know that I think you are so beautiful, and I wondered if there's any way you'd go out with me".....

I was stunned.....and at a loss for words. On the one hand, I was extremely flattered, but on the other hand, I knew I was going to have to turn him down as I have a boyfriend and we've been together for two years. I stammered and stuttered and told him we could discuss it when he came in on Monday.

I have no idea how to let this guy down gently, because he went out on such a limb to tell me those things. What do I say?

Politely but firmly tell him "I'm sorry, but I don't date clients. I consider it very un-professional."

The company I work for actually has that written into our contracts. Report It
