Ever volunteer to do something at work and then change your mind?!

Question: What was I thinking? I never asked for extra credit in school. I am ruining my underachiever status. How do I get out of this project? Should I drop a brick on my foot? Help me?

My get me out of anything excuse is, "I can't see!" Make this believable by poking yourself in the eye. It hurts, but then you get out of having to do extra stuff.

When confronted, I just whip out my fake pencil-thin mustache and use my fake French accent.....

Always, but what goes around comes around

I don't have time to volunteer, my boss takes care of that for me. Take my advice ~ smile and do it because your Christmas bonus is 11 months away

Why the hell did you volunteer to do anything? Just pretend like your doing it and drag ***. It also gives you a reason why your regular work didnt get done

I've found that it's wise NEVER to volunteer for anything at work.

If you do then the boss thinks of your name any time there's something he needs doing.
(Usually it's an assignment that's a pain in the neck)

I always volunteered for special projects and did a really good job with them. Since I didn't actually do any real work (I did, but it definitely didn't take me 9 hours a day to complete it), come review time, I could remind the bossman how I speant my precious time working on these "projects" that made him look good for his boss. Then I watched my bonus grow right before my eyes.

"A woman who doesn't change her mind doesn't have one."

That would be a negative.

All that flavored coffee you drink is killing you.

I have but it's been a long time. I learned that lesson the hard way. Let's see - you're gonna have to get a migraine. I big one I think. ?

Yes but due to my kind nature I got pink eye the day I was supposed to go in. They told me to stay home but I showed up with vaseline all over that eye and they wouldn't come within 10 feet of me. It is all about where your heart is :)

Yes I have but still had to go through with it. And please please don't drop a brick on your cute foot!

A few times...lmao!
