I guess to people out of southern California I do.

My speech is sometimes a little slurred, too. Sometimes I have to repeat myself.

    Of course I don't realize it, but it's all relative to where you're living. One of my friends moved here to Connecticut from Washington State about 7 years ago, and she told us we all talked funny.

    My parents now live in South Carolina, so I'm sure they're considered to have a "northern" accent whereas they say the people down there have a southern accent.

    A senior at my high school when I was a freshman put it like this: "Only in New England do we ask "What's fer" instead of "What's for?"

    Example: "What's fer homework" rather than "What's for homework".
    i never really thought that i had an accent but i spose that other people hear it as though i do. im from england by the way
