if only. im fed up with the amount of ppl claiming they are 'job seekers' only to sit on there backsides living off of the tax payers.
fair enough if your trying to find a job, you should get help while you struggle, but come on ppl why should you be living for free off of others?

That would indeed be a very good idea, as I know a few idle people who claim it without seeking employment!

It's very easy to snipe when You're fortunate enough to not need benefits, I know, I do it all the time.

as far as i know that is what happens now!

you have to prove that you've applied for job, and if they give you a job to apply for you have to do it.

if you don't then your allowance can be cut or cancelled.

I agree

People on job seekers allowance should be doing exactly that, anyone not seeking employment should not be entitled to a penny!!

sick of all this 'have a go at the unemployed' - it's not through choice you know - it's hard enough living on the pittance the fat cats (who are all in love with their businss dinner/car/petrol allowances) decree you need to live on, without being called lazy too - being unemployed is not fun, and it's certainly no way to live a life
