Mine used to hurt, but I bang it so much that i have now built the muscles up in my neck and they're used to it. I now have have a problem with my chicken neck because I've been choking it so much lately. I've also have a problem with my monkey, so I've been spanking him as well.

I learnt this lesson the hard way.
All my guy mates must have a technique to doing it, as they never get sore necks.
But when me and my mates (girls) went to a concert, we headbanged all the way through "Tears Don't Fall" and the next morning we all had really bad necks.
And they lasted for about a week.
