Why don't they make $500 or higher denomination bills anymore?!

Question: They really should "4 Jacks", considering the salaries many people make these days.

The reason they don't, I believe, is due to counterfeiters, says Jill. :)

They Are Too Hard To Make Change Of

Cuz nobody spends 'em!

No one in America is smart enough to calculate change from a $500.00 bill.

most people use credit cards and checks these days not so much cash. therefore, if you show up at a register with a $500 bill that has had credit card payments all day, you wont get your change back. its just unrealistic these days.

when i give someone a hundred ..he has to act all wise trying to crack it to see weather its fake or not..i might get arrested for this 500 bill u r talking about..

The world has gone digital(credit cards, etc.) for large money items.

Because the thieves want small bills that are easy to pass off.

"Rich" people don't need them, and "average" people wouldn't think they were real.

There is no demand for them so the government stopped printing them! I know I wouldn't want to carry around a $500 bill and then try to cash it to buy a can of Coke! I can just see the cashiers face!! haha
