mine grew out of it, but she was a stinker. It can be the food you are feeding him.
He probably ate something that didn't agree with his tummy. Get a syringe and give him about 0.3 cc of peptobismal . He should feel better in a few ours.... You could also try switching to Iams kitten food. It's better for his digestive track.....
