What is your opinion on Euthanasia?!

Question: Do you think it should be legal?

Answers: Do you think it should be legal?

Of course it should be legal. Imagine the worst you've ever felt... times it by a hell of alot and imagine for once that you aren't the healthy, able person you are. Imagine every second of your life being agony and not wanting to fight to hang in there until nature takes it course. Obviously if these really ill people could kill themselves they would. But how helpless would you feel if you didn't want to live and you couldn't even end your own life? Why should any government be able to tell an individual, you have no right to die by your own wishes... ?

give them an Nintendo and leave them alone.

well case by case, depending on the situation, it may be the best option.

yes dr korvorkian should never gone to jail

No, I don't think it should be legal. That would be like legalizing murder. Let people kill their own selves and not drag other people into it.

It should be a personal option.

It's a very personal choice.

absolutely..

yes, when you want to be put of your misery, it should be allowed.

I think a dying person should have the right to end things peacefully and quickly if they so chose to. We do it to animals when they don't even have a choice in the matter.

I think it should be legal. If a person is terminally ill and doesn't want to suffer anymore why not let them make the decision as to whether or not they want to go on?

I agree with it in some ways, but it would have to be a VERY systematic process with lots of legal documentation in order to prevent wrongful death (whether it's pressure by family, not being in the "proper" mental state to make that decision, etc).

Personally, though, I don't think it'll ever be legalized. If it does, we have a very long way to go until it's legalized.

It is still a murder, it should only be allowed under extremely serious circumstances, other than that is murder. Some people were assisted to die if I can say, simply because they were depressed.

AMERICA...EUROPE...ASIA...teens, will be teens, anywhere.

i think it should be legal..it is definately a personal choice but only keep it limited to people with terminal illness who are basically at end stage of life.

Yes, as long as there is proper documentation.

Absolutely no unless someone is dying from incurable disease and in agony... but still it is a tough call.... my dad was dying from cancer and at one point wanted help to die sooner because he was in so much pain... thank goodness he changed his mind (and died naturally but honestly, he suffered needlessly for weeks)... I started researching upon his request... check out Hemlock Society and Dr. Kevorkian.....

Good question. Only voluntary euthanasia by consent should be legal. All other means to me would be murder if you don't have the persons consent in their killing. Take the case of Dr. Jack Kevorkian. He gave Thomas Youk a lethal injection with his consent because of an incurable disease that Thomas would eventually die from. Dr. Jack served TEN YEARS!! How can people think it's murder if he had the consent of his patient. Crazy...

It is a difficult choice to make for you or a loved one... If you make it legal... A lot of people might take advantage of it...

I find it funny that you can take your beloved pet to the vet and have it 'put to sleep' without the animal having a say in the matter. However when Grampa Joe asks you to end his suffering it's against the law.

I believe that those in pain should be allowed to have a doctor help them to end it.

I am not really sure. I approve of it for my animals who are in pain and suffering so. I guess I have to look at it from my point of view - if it were me. The bottom line is that I was there at one time. Pain 24/7 for almost a year. I had to try to sleep sitting up, could not walk anymore, and it hurt to touch me. Liver and Kidneys had shut down. Lungs were going thus the sitting up. I was not the Cancer case of no return. Mine was an extreme case of Lupus and I did make it back only because of Jesus. So, it's a hard call for me. How would I determine how bad it is when I have been through it and made it back? The look in my eyes would have also told anyone "just kill me already." Very hard call. What kind of criteria could be set except that of brain activity? As a loved one, you know when they are in pain and what needs to be done. Many do what is hard and go to jail for it. In my opinion, they are heros to a certian degree. I'm not sure how God sees it though.

No Youth in Asia have rights too you know

euthanasia? im lost.

I don't know why the Youth in Asia get blamed for everything, they're just trying to make a living like the rest of us

Heck No!!!!

No, but it's only a matter of time until it will be legal. After all, in a society that thinks it's OK to kill its unborn children, it's not a very big stretch to get to the point that we will kill others whose "quality of life" is somehow lacking, or they become too great a burden to take care of.

How sad that we presume to be able to judge the value of a life.
