I work at a pet hospital and when we take dogs or cats back from the lobby it's sort of embarrassing to call them the wrong gender.
I just always say "Baby" or "Sweetheart"
my mom does that
after 10 years i have finnally got tired of saying
HIM
HE
Usually I refer to dogs as "boy" but usually for cats I'll just say kitty or something like that.
I don't talk to the cats, they're too uppity, but I do say "boy" to the dogs
I have 2 cats, 1 male, 1 female.
Male Cat – “Mommy’s prrrretty, prrrrretty boy”
Female Cat – “Mommy’s prrrretty, prrrretty little baby”
That's true... I I hear people do that all the time. Tend to only get male animals for some reason, I don't know why. So, I always refer to an animal as a "he" when I talk about one. I got my first female animal half a year ago and it took me FOREVER to stop saying "good boy".
I normally call them both "boy"!!
I guess that makes me abnormal!!
Next time you talk to me, people, have in mind that I am 100% male. My name is Mr.Linus, and please address me as "He". I will be offended if I hear something like "oh what a nice cat she is"! Thank you very much,
Purrfully,
Mr.Linus, the avatar cat.
