As a society, why do we know more about whats going on with Britney, Angelina, B!

Question: ...than we do about our own kids...or even the presidential election?

Answers: ...than we do about our own kids...or even the presidential election?

as long as people want to know about those peoples personal lives then the media will keep writing stories about them.
I think people who make a difference should get more attention i.e philanthropists,Nobel prize winners , etc.

Buk/Johnny 08'

speak for yourself and your society

Because it is more interesting!!

P.S. I totally think Angie is pregnant!

Because the media glamorizes stupidity.

I don't know, but it's sad. I don't know much about the presidential election, but I know everything that's going one with my kids.

Stop wasting your time and put some bikini pics up on your 360 girl...you are hot...oh u r married...congrats...

I don't think Brad and Angelina are into crack as much as they partake of the herb...

That's the thing there, I know not much about celebs, I tune in to the major news like who won where, but I do listen to world news. I can tell you al-Qaida's been pretty busy, Bhutto son's taking over and former Indonesia president (the second one who ruled for 32 years) died on Sunday.

Because we have mindless IDIOTS who wanna know all about this crap!! Oh, and tennyboppers!

They're better dressed and I like pretty things, plus the short attention span.

I just vote for whoever my husband suggests.

I admit that freely, but it's ok because we feel the same way about political things.

AND! I don't have kids, but I do know more about my cats than I do about Brangelina. There just isn't all that much to know, so I have a lot of free time.

because its been thrown at us from everywhere and as unnecessary as it is its something thats constant. however you only know more about it if your LOOKING to know more about it than anything else.

stupidity!

"We" don't, dear.

Trust me, there are some of us who are not slavishly devoted to keeping apprised of every mundane detail in every mediocre celebrity's supposedly magnificent life.

If you find yourself learning and hearing about celebrities all the time, it's because you're taking the time to either read about them or watch something on the news. In other words, you encounter a piece about a star, and you keep reading. Your best bet is to turn the page or switch the channel.

I must admit that when Heath Ledger died, I was flipping through the TV channels and stopped on CNN. It was their "breaking news" story [even though it was 18-hour old news] and the camera feed was of the window of his apartment. It was a live feed, and it didn't change during the five minutes I tuned in. All I could think was, "what are they expecting to happen? Are they hoping for a star to appear, or someone to jump out of it, or a puppet show to start?" The lights were one, but there was no movement. Utterly inane.

I think it's only a matter of time before the tabloid media starts publishing the bathroom times of the rich and famous. Because, you know, we really, really, really NEED to know.

Well said...I mean why the hell do I want to see pics of some dumb celeb buying a coffee every time I open a magazine or paper.

World news and other important information relevent to your location would be better!

Thats a good question but I'm afraid I can't answer it. But I suspect its something to do with the obsession we have with celebs. When I say 'we' I mean those sad sacks who buy all the trashy magazines about z list stars. Who cares!!

Well my mom knos more bout me and my sistrs than any of that crap. I culd care less about who's gonna lead our country cuz no mattr who gets elected, we r in trouble, and i dont care about crackhead celebs. Its all stupid.

frankly i think the presidential candidates are all a waste of breath...

i paid attention every since i was able to vote and the last 8 years my country's been run by and imbecilic hippocrite, what's the point anymore?

I know where my kid is, and Angelina does more for the people of this world than Bush...

cause we watch to much tv and as a society we are to much involved in others affairs than we are our own

Speak for yourself, and you have a lot to learn about Brad and Angelina.

scary isn't it? unfortunately, that's America..or at least a good part of it

Because most humans feed off action or gossip! Many of them forget whats really important and to those kind of people anything outside of the action is Boring!
