How rude is this??????!
Question: ppl, im me, they start the conversation, and than say be right back, i have to check my e-mails, or go online to see about something!!!!!!
i think it's really rude to do that, they should do it before they im, not keep you waiting for 20 min. what do you think???

That is beyond rude. It is one thing to receive an IM and have something come up, but quite another if you initiate the IM and then leave for some ridiculous reason, and keep the other party holding. It just shows they lack of character and manners.

well, go do something else. We are all busy at times. Yes it is rude and I'm sorry when I do that.

I agree with you 100% what's even ruder is when they sign out right in the middle of a conversation with out so much as a "talk to you later" or "I got to go".
It's possible that they just wanted to say a quick hello and then got sucked into a much longer conversation than they had time for.
