How would be a good way?!

Question: to tell someone to get over themselves?

besides just saying that? I'd like it to be more eloquent.

thanks!

Just say, "I've been trying to think of an eloquent way to tell you to get over yourself but I have decided that would not be helpful or constructive. Instead, I would like to offer to aid you in removing the stick from yourass anytime that you have a minute or two to let me take a look at it."

Get over "thy" self???

"Did you know that the world doesn't really revolve around you?" No, wait...that's not eloquent either. I don't think there's a *nice* way to say it!

"oh stop it"
or
"oh, stop being like that"

Love thy neighbor more than thy self...

ahhah.

i wish i could tell people that sometimes.

Life is very unpredictable so forget and get over it should be better.

Take Care

"Life's a Bi*tch, don't be a part of it"

Could I tell you a quick story?
There was a man, I can't remember his name, who thought very highly of himself. He owned one of the largest companies in the world and was a genius at his work so he really had earned his high opinion. He had a high turnover at his company but it hardly effected profits because he literally could do any job until he filled the position. No one could do things as well as he could, of course, and if he could be in more places at once, he would fire the lot of his employees.
Then, a tragedy occurred and he was involved in a car accident that nearly killed him.
Though he recovered, he almost died again, this time in despair. You see, he had to face the fact that chance, or God, or the universe in generally had dared to injure him. Injure him so severely in fact that he could no longer do it all.
But there is a silver lining. This man discovered, the more he needed to rely on others, that it was Ok to do so. There is more than one person in the universe because no one person is so great that the universe can run with just them in it.
The other good part is that we don't need to be put in a wheelchair to learn this lesson.

Not sure there is an eloquent way of telling some one to get over themselves.... and there have been a coupla great answers already!

Mebbe - "wow - is there any room for me in that office, too? I wouldn't want to crowd you *and* your ego."

Buy them a mirror (or two)...!!

I've had to tell people that before. It never has worked but not because I wasn't nice about it. I just said something like, "Look, I have to tell you something and it isn't pleasant. I want you to know before I say it that I'm not trying to be mean but this is something you need to hear and it's best if you hear it from a friend, who cares....There are those who think that you are pretty full of yourself and quite frankly I think you need to get it out of your system...." Something like that. I'm sure if you choose your words carefully you can tell anyone anything...my dad always said a good leader is someone who can tell a person to go to hell in such a way he'll enjoy the trip. Good luck.

i always say "you seem to be mistaken as to whom the world revolves around, because you see it is all about me, now most people know that already."
