Before when I used to have a gas hob kettle I used to do that all the time

when was about 12 i put a pot noodle in the microwave without any water while staying in a holiday caravan...the microwave blew up!! ooops!!!

technically, you cant boil a kettle
the boiling point of aluminium is about 670 centegrade
stainless steel is even higher!
you use a kettle to boil water inside it -
