it limits the human creativity too much and some people are just not meant for the job physically and intelligently

Like in The Giver? Sure, in fact, I wouldn't mind living in a world just like that, as long as I could still choose to have my religion. Although, the "releasing" thing is a bit creepy...
Anyway, it kind of scares me thinking that I'm going to have to make a decision when I'm still a teenager that will dictate how the rest of my life will be. I'd rather have it done for me, as long as it's chosen with care and precision.

I sure would! You don't know how badly I wish someone would have chosen trash collector for me instead of health care administrator. I could be riding around on the back of one of those magnificent compactor trucks enjoying the semi fresh air and the thrill of curb side pick-up in winter! But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I had to go get some cushy, paper pushin', computer usin', benefit havin' desk job!

no - because i know who i am - i know what i like- no body else can do that for me - and then would they stop with just choosing your occupation? - or would your marriage partner be chosen also ? - would they then tell you what you can wear? and what religion you have to practice?
NO - i would not want to live there ( thank GOD- he put me in the Unites States)
and I would not want the for my daughter - to be made to think she was inferior to men -
But God knew what he was doing - by putting me here in the US and not somewhere like that - because i would of been killed by now - just from my mouth alone !!!!! :)
