Has your perception of the world changed over 5 years?!
Question: Yes, I feel the world has become a place with angrier people. Post 9-11 in the USA, complete strangers were helping each other. As time has progressed, it seems we're right back where we were, if not even more. I do feel advances have been made in the areas of global warming and the environment in general, along with some medical treatments. When I go out in the morning, I try to make the world a better place. I had a lifethreatening illness recently and it made me realize the importance of every day here. I would just rather live with a smile than live angry moments. Seeing the beauty in every day would help the citizens of the world a great deal.

I have become quite depressed.
thats because five years ago I was eight and I didn't really know what was going on. Once I started to understand things better, particularly bad things, I get depressed.
Yes....since Bush got re-elected I have to wonder if people are just mean SOB's or stupid. I also wonder if corporations have a coup over our "free" government. Seems harder to "do the right thing" and be heard by those who make policy decisions that effect people.
