60s, 70s, 80s or 90s. No, not how low is your IQ, which decade was the best for !

Question: Whilst much of the 60s output might seem slightly naive today, it was the decade, during which many of the music formats, today taken as normal, were in their experimental infanthood.

Most musicians were experimenting with sounds, synthesis and FX. This made much of the output quite risky, because, in that era, an artist needed sales of a million-plus PER WEEK, to get any wide ranging exposure. Without the exposure, they did not get the gigs.

Competition breeds quality.

For me it has to be the 80s.

The 80s were the transition from punk and new wave through to new romantic. First class music.

90's imo..because of grunge and stuff..
Its a horrible question lol..too difficult.
I mean I like 60's, 70's and 80's also...
They're all great in there own way, especially psychedelic hippy music in 60's/70's!
Well, thats my opinion!

personally i like the 60s the best because i think it was one of the most revolutionary times in the music industry.

even though i wasn't alive the 80's bcuz gunz N' roses! and skidrow!

80s, as i was born in it lol, hair rock n cheesy ballads what more could u want lol, oh n if that dont sway ya metallica, gnr started releasing tunes,

90's, Too much dance :)

I like cake ! if cake was a musical era then i would have to say sponge with a cream center.
Hope this has answered your question.

60's my reason, BOBBY VINTON!!!! Need I say more?

If I had to choose a decade then it would be the 80's. But then I was a teenager in the 80's. I think that's my cue to put the headphones on and buy a one way ticket to retro-oblivion!

See you later!

DC

90's... dance/house music and oasis proved you didnt have to be weird or gay or different to have fun and enjoy yourself without taking yourself too seriously. Brit pop was too feminine and 60' and 70's were naive. 80's were just not a good thing but |New Order gave hope

80's

metallica

60s because it was rock and roll and yet still clean, and furthermore crap.. I mean rap wasn't invented yet. You didn't have to hear about bitches and hoes and cop killers and smokin crack.

It was just nice music to groove to, dance to, sing along with, and make love to.

The 90's. Grunge and Britpop. ? :-)

I would have to say the 60s because music was so diversified
You had
The Beach Sound
Motown
The British Invasion
Elvis
Hendrix
Joplin
Morrison
the heart throbs,Bobby Vee/Bobby VintonlDion
and the long standing C&W
