If it still there after two passes, it's time to pick it up and throw it out. I have watched my hubby do the pick it up and then put it down and run over it again thing...I mean you picked it up, throw it out.

not often.

i dont know would have to ask my wife this question i have never vaccumed

Only once, because that screeching noise scares me!!~~

LOL.

Typically 7 or 8 times. then again, then I pick it up and throw it in the trash.

all the time. meanwhile i could of thrown it out.

usually around five times, i'll just stand there, going over and over the same piece of thread, or whatever it is, and sometimes, i won't even pick it up at all! it just stays there on the carpet!!! that is just SAD....

I use a broom

at least two or three....for what i paid for my vacuume it had better pick up what i am willing to sweep up. but my Son has sucked up coins matchbox cars nails...all that good stuff that sweepers do not like....that hasn't helped the sweeper.

a bajillion times! drives me insane...i kinda have OCD...

94,657 times ... give or take...

Its a lot more fun with a double decker bus ha ha ha

If i dont see it I run over it and if the vac. makes a noise i will pick it up.. so once

LOL...that is hilarious.

I would have to say maybe 2-3 times. Then I would just get frustrated and pick it up to throw it in the garbage.

I do that alot it seems like. I just want my vacuum cleaner to pick up everything like I think it's suppose to.

LOL I try usually about 6 times especially with my kids stickers that is a good question lol

Though I was the only one that had to do that.

I accidently went over a wire the other week cause i couldnt ar$ed moving it.. unfortunatly the hoover sort of ripped the plastic wire open exposing the metal wire.. i dont know how im still a live, the wire was live..
i also do it with socks or quilt sheets.

I don't run over it if I know it's there...

Twice. Then I pick it up off the floor, I stick it in my pocket. It ends up in being laundered and I wonder "Why in the hell is there tinsel in the washer?!"

probably never i will try twice then throw the item under a rug or something caus like the trash can is like how many feet away and i am vacuming so like doesn't that count as enough work as is. ???>>>>>:) but you all know that you have done it sometime or another...don't lie!

A few less times than I will run over something with the car.
Kidding, just kidding!
I am a janitor, and bending over all the time to pick up a piece of string stuck to the carpet is a pain in the you know where. I have an industrial vacuum that has a very powerful hose attachment with a head that has teeth on it to scrape up stuff. It works wonders on dried play-dough in the carpet. Yep, that's right I said play-dough. I work at a church/preschool, and the only thing that my vacuum has trouble sucking up is glitter. Darn that vile stuff! It won't get up with the vacuum or a dust mop. A wet mop just pushes it around the room. Only time gets it up.

You should buy a Dyson... They suck pretty good!

the cord is the worst....it chews it up pretty good...mine has several fixes with elec. tape....lol ?

only once! i have broken too many vacs being pressed

twice
