It is an old game they play when they are not interested in you.If they were they would have called you immediately period.So keep looking til you get that call.

call them and find out what's going on, let them know you are really interested in the job. either they haven't made their decision or they have hired someone else.

I'm in the same situation. I was told it might take up to three weeks. So I'm going to call after three weeks so I know the final answer.
I think calling helps so they know how serious you were about the job. This helps if you apply again for the same company.
I would call them and see if the position has been filled yet and if not then ask them what was up!

drop them a note or call and say."so and so mentioned calling me back...wondering if i missed his call.....
Call back over and over again until they are sick of it, they will remember your name for the next opening if you dont get this one. Tell hem how good you would be at the job, people love persistance and will respect you for it.
