I have 3 close friends. They don’t have to ask for help, I understand their need as they understand mine.
To me friends are like a pebble dropped in a pool. The first ring is for my closest friends, those that I could call at 3 AM and they wouldn’t even have to know why. Then the next ring are those people I know very well but it would take a disaster to contact them at 3 AM. Next are good acquaintances. People I work with, people I do business with etc. After that there are many more rings, some of the people on the outermost ring might be in the inner ring if I only knew them better. .
