I miss every minute of our 42 years together, her strength, courage, gentle criticism, knowledge, her magnificent violin playing, her ability to face up to her horribly bigoted family.
I nearly said I miss her love but that will be with me always.

My Mom always took up for me. No matter how bad I messed up (and God knows I did) she was always on my side. Didn't matter what time I called her either - she was always ready to talk to me until I could make it through the night. I really miss her.
