The first thing I thought of was straight dark smooth hair commonly seen with Asian people. Otherwise, I would have thought of my uncle's (african american) which is nappy or curly <not sure what it's called to be honest> or some of my birth relatives who have reddish hair that is supposedly typically irish.

I would question what ethnicity you're referring to. On a side note, I grew up in the Los Angeles area and moved to Northwest Florida and in all their grocery stores the Mexican and Asian and any other food that isn't considered "American" is actually in the "Ethnic Foods" isle. I find it a little offensive.
