Question: Yes, I do it on a regular, I received my 16 gallon pin last year. I do a process called apheresis where they take the blood spin it and take platelets and plasma and return the red cell there fore I am able to give more than 9 times a year. also because my platelet count is so high I am able to give double or triples = 2 to 3 pints of blood. Give it a try as well as whole blood. Nothing like giving the gift of life.

Yes....I did it for the first time right after 911. I went by myself, and wound up passing out on the table. They kept me there for almost 4 hours. It sucked. Turns out, I'm anemic, which means I'm not supposed to give blood. :( Wish that wasn't the case, it's a wonderful thing to do. AND they give you Lorna Doones! I love Lorna Doones!

yes i have.......several times....not a big deal, and really a good thing to do as long as you are healthy enough to do so. You never know, you might wind up saving someone's life, by doing so.
