Even though i am a women who has not very much knowledge about this i would wear my crest logo loud and proud, no matter which league we were in. Its all about teams and sportmanship
i don't play any sport or wear a tie,,,sooo maybe I'd just be left naked lol
Most of the old days ties were recognised by the colour so the crest was almost of no consequence.
So the answer is that it didn't really matter.
