Ever drive for miles on a highway you know well and suddenly realize you been dr!

Question: happen to me today. I must have alot on my mind

Answers: happen to me today. I must have alot on my mind

Yeah, I put it on autopilot all the time.
The worst though, was when I was driving (alone - no co-pliot) to upstate NY. I kept seeing NYC getting closer & closer. I kept waiting for my turn & it never came. Finally, I pulled over & discovered I was about 100 miles WEST of where I was supposed to be! Ugh!
Middle of the night, too.

NO!!!

When I have Metallica or Pearl Jam blaring, I seem to wind up in towns that have names I can't even pronounce.

No, but it happened to an old friend once. She was to be driving west towards Indiana and instead wound up going east and way into Ohio before she realized what she was doing.
LOL! That was back when gas was still 99 cents/gallon. That would suck to do now with gas prices. Sorry for your troubles.

Well , glad you finally realized it . Looks like you are late to your destination .

Yes, and I felt like fool.

Actually, yes. Similar things happen like that to me all of the time.

um no

Yep, I missed my turn and went 10 miles before I even realized. I was just lost in my own mind driving. LOL>

I did it once when I was young and I didn't know the area at all. I still make a mistake once in a while but not to that extent. GPS is the answer. AS low as 99 dollars.

oh yeah. it doesnt help that im not very good with directions either. Me and my roommate were driving back to Arizona from a vacation in Tennessee and there was alot of construction going on in the Alabama area, well the interstate signs we're all screwy and i got confused but i was confident i was going in the right direction, my roommate was asleep and i didnt feel like waking here, about 2 hours later when we should have been welcomed to Oklahoma we we're insted welcomed to Alabama.
I was insanely embarrassed.

I had to drive quite a distance to work early in the morning. I was in the middle of my drive (highway) when i realized I had no idea where I was going or what road I was even on. I had just been in brain auto-drive but hadn't been thinking about driving. So, I just trusted that I was on the right road and sure enough after 10 minutes I remembered what the hell I was doing.

yeah, that happened to me when I was trying to find a restaurant and I got lost in a run-down place...not fun at all

Last night! It was raining and my windshield was foggy and i took the wrong exit. And I go this way all the time. It was like 10 minutes before i realized i was going the wrong way. I hate wasted time.

Happened to me, too. Drove past my exit and ended up in my father-in-laws driveway and didn't remember how I got there. I was thinking about something else and I guess reflexes/memory took over...........

whoa dude.....where was your head? No....don't think I've done that before...but I could be wrong.

I've been told I'm "a magnet home". It doesn't matter where I am or where I mean to go, I always end up driving towards my home.

it happened to me years ago up in canada. i was out in the boonies and got totally lost, but it was ok, i didn't know where i was going anyway.. lol
