about as long as it will take me to google the word contributer badge to find out what it is
a while, it takes 10% best answers in one category. If you are like me I answer from all the categories. I will never get one. Good luck to you. Hope you get it.
you have to get the most best answers in a catogaory so basicly its to yourself and the voters

They gave me one then took it away for reasons I don't know
my other account got me a top contributor badge in music and music players in about 2 months of constant answering over the summer- just stay in the same category and get tons of best answers
