No, prohibition only worsens crime. Prohibition is responsible for some of the worst crime in U.S. history. Al Capone is probably the best example, he was never convicted of the 1000's of crimes linked to him. Can you even begin to imagine what the mobsters of today would be like. Jesus christ.
Why do you think Prohibition FAILED the 1st time around? Because it wasn't a big enough problem for the Gov't and it was under funded and eventually repealed because they didn't stand a chance against all the 100's of major bootleggers.
