Well often times the artist doesn't make as much money as the studios do. So I do buy an album if I like it. The artists deserve to make a living off of their hard work.
But many are seeing that online exposure can be their best friend. A pal of mine publishes a very popular mp3 blog and major record labels actually send him free CDs so he can post singles for download. He's only received on cease and desist and that was from a small, local label.

Cause if no one made a fuss about it then EVERYONE would be downloading for free, cause if it isn't a big deal - why pay for it?

Just because they make more money than you do dipping fries at MacDonald's doesn't mean you have the right to rip them off. They deserve to get paid for the music they produce. If you want the music then pay for it. If you can't afford it then listen to the radio.
The artist are in need of the money. they put forth the effort to make an awesome album, and by the looks of it, ur a breaking benjamin fan, so how do you feel stealing their music, if they worked their a**es off making it. It's not the most easy thing to do. Some artist don't deserve half the money they get, but hardworking artists, like breaking benjamin and countless others need the income. it's bad enough their freaking producer, managers and everyone working for them are scamming them. now their fans?
