I don't eat meat but if my survival depended on it, then I would. It would have to be near armageddon circumstances to get me to do it though.
This is one of the main reasons I gave up eating meat. I see no animal differently than any pet.

I think I could manage it, but I would have to keep in mind that I'm befriending a future meal. I did grow up on a ranch, however, and eating meat is part of who we are. It's in our nature, but so is compassion.
If I had developed a bond with an animal, it would be difficult to kill and I could only do it if I had a good reason. Like if I was starving or it was old, sick or crippled.
Eating it afterwards would only honor its memory by not letting the remains go to waste. It would definately be an interesting experience. If we ever get trapped in an abandoned mine shaft together and I die first, I'd expect you to eat me.
