Not sure what a hot cake is, is it just a normal cake like sponge cake thats been heated up ?? or is it like a pancake?
Out of the 2 i would choose honey as it tastes sweeter than syrup and i always think syrup tastes very artificial and goes everywhere! if i had a bigger choice and we were talking about pancakes i would have chocolate sauce and sliced banana yummy
