i do to a cerain extent...i dont believe in beating of course. but sometimes kids need a lil spanking or discipine to show them that you are the parent and mean business

After looking at the children who weren`t spanked, I`m a firm believer. The wife could probably use a paddlin now and again but I save that for her birthday.

I have a 14 year old and a 13 year old.
I have never felt compelled to strike my children.
They are smart enough to listen to what I am saying and take it for what it is. If they don't heed my words, the consequences were brought on by themselves.
They know that and I don't have to beat it into them.
And lest some of you say I must have hellions because I don't hit my kids, the oldest is an honor student, life scout, his school student body president, and active in his church youth group. The youngest has autism and is thriving as well. Both are great kids and many people mention what a couple of nice young men they are.
If you are a good parent and have the proper skills, there is no need to hit.

damn straight, my boys will not run all over me, my 15 yr old is too old now, but Mikey gets 3 chances then timeout then a spanking if he doesnt listen!
