So, what do we all think of Vista?!

Question: It's been a good while now, surely some of us are using this new Vista thing. How are you finding it? And please tell me if you use do, do you use it for work or home? Or both?

My hubby has Vista on his laptop but isn't fond of it at all.

don't use it so dont know

Not the Greatest...!!

I prefer XP, easier and compatible with the previous ones

I HATE IT........was forced into it when my pc with XP died

I find it more awkward to close down....compared to XP...
and once i had set it up to look like XP everything was fine!

I've had it for ages and never really had a problem with it. You need a powerful computer to get the best out of it though.

Id rather go back to xp

I use XP Pro and it is as good as it gets.

I tried it! My laptop came with vista! I didn't like it! So I reformatted my laptop with XP!

I have no idea of what it is.

I have it at home and it tends to get so incompatible with so many things, printing can be a struggle, installing device can be a problem. It is a hassle.

Its all double dutch to me but my hubby has it on his pc and he loves it !

I just set up someones new PC with Vista.
i dont see any great advantages over XP, and nothing to make me want to change my own OS

edit. ok drivers and compatability with old devices are a problem (the person i set it up for, had to wait 3 days to get internet because her old DSL modem (BT Voyager 100) is not at all compatible with Vista - you cant get any new drivers for the modem device)
but, this is the sort of probelm you will get whenever a new OS is brought out
everything made now - printers, scanners, etc - will be made compatible with vista.

{i still dont like it much, though}

IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

I have had nothing but problems with this system. It came with my new laptop about a year ago. My 1996 Gateway runs better than Vista (that has Windows 95!)

I think its good. Ive been using it for a while. I dont like my gateway laptop too well though. I perfer tosheba (or h.e. you spell it.

Very incompatible with a lot of software...

I use XP, so no idea.

I don't mind it. MY last computer had Windows 98, The new one has Vista HOme Premium. I never used ME or XP. The only thing I have found that I don't like is the blue screen that pops up every few days. I have not downloaded anything except yahoo messenger, my virus checks come back clean, as well as all other scans that look for malicious programs, my firewall is in working order, so I have no clue as to what is causing it.

Vista isnt that gr8 nd i usually prefer to 2 use XP. Its almost the same as XP. I have got vista in my laptop nd XP in my pc.

How many people got board of the "switch between programmes" function after about 5 mins.

i still prefer the old OS microsoft had, but i got a new computer that came with vista so i have to put up with vista.

XP is better

We ended up having to get it when our old computer died and we bought a new one. Vista is okay, but there seem to be a few little things that don't quite work right. It doesn't happen all of the time, but when it happens it can be annoying. Of everything I've ever used, I think XP was my favorite.

i have not use it, but some of my friend use it and say Home Vista not that good compare to XP cause it takes too long time for loading (each application). But for the image etc is more interesting than XP.

It was ok, but then ours got really sluggish, and it would restart itself...not the best computer

the only time i use " VISTA " is in between " ASTA LA..........and.........BABY "

not the greatest

I got Vista.
Its great but it replaced a laptop with windows 98 on it and thats hopeless on the internet.
I have no complaints at all .
Had it a year now and still finding out more things it can do.
