Hmmmm. I'm still on my first cup of coffee. I think I'd do it in Court though. I'd be scared of messing up my defense if I told everything to the Media. The girls are so mad they have to go to school. Mornin big bro. ?

Court. The jury would look more kindly on me then the media (plus its the jury who decides whether someones innocent not the media).

You have to cross the bridge when you get to it. If you are taken into court on charges, you deal there! Then you bring in the media to high light the case.
Depends on the nature of the charges. I'd definitely coordinate any and all public statements with my lawyer, though...so as not to prejudice my defense.

If the media were standing outside my door with a fire hose and my house was on fire I'd try to find a neighbor with a garden hose before I'd trust them to put the fire out.

I guess sweety, it would depend on how serious the charges were! If a neighbor was charging you with destroying their property and disturbing the peace because you cut down one of their trees on your fence line, get the media involved! If your neighbor is charging you with being a 'peeping tom' and all you were doing is checking on their welfare out of due concern, then tell it with feeling to the court!!
