You know,I've never really been good with hints.. so I usually don't know unless they flat out tell me.
You get plenty .
The things they do for you and the lengths they go to, to please you.
they will say it..but it may be tacit too, and not the worse for it.
they accept you as you are and accept some things that they may find difficult because they love you, and sometimes you may find them just looking at you lovingly for no reason and you know that the way they are looking they love you
When they tell you it is a bit of a giveaway.
thats quite a hard question to answer i could tell you how you know if you love someone else
if they pay full attention to you, if there when you need them and you dont need to call them because they can feel that you need them if there is sincerity in there words
when they hold you they dont wont to let you go but there not getting friskey with you
they give you advice from there heart
they stand by what you do and say even though they disagree with you
they fight for your love in return
most of all they trust you more than anyone and there always honest with you because without trust and honesty there is no love

Oh its easy if its a woman. What you do is you really annoy her, if she does any of the following, she loves you:
Stabs you in the leg with a knife. Tears up all your clothes. Empties your bank account. Chucks paint over your car. Tells the police you've been beating her. Tries to claim your house. Sleeps with half the neighbourhood. Or any other type of diabolical act of inhumanity.
Then you can safely say she loves you.

when somebody knows you more than you know yourself.
if he/she can tell what is in your heart before you have told them.the eyes tell that he/she is in love with you.they care about you more than themselves and doesnot think of their interest in order to safeguard yours.
The way they hug you, kiss you, hold you, touch you, smile at you, talk to you, the way their eyes sparkle, their smile but most of all how they tell you I love you.

You can't. Some people themselves can't tell the difference between love and infatuation, so how are you supposed to see it from the outside. They may tell you, they may tell themselves, but it's not something that is measurable or readable.
If someone claims to love you, you just have to take their word for it and see if there ever comes a point when it is proven, you can then be assured, it is generally not something someone claims without there being any truth behind it.
By the way that they act towards you and the way they make you feel
Basically staying power in a relationship, them putting up with the bad as well as the good and the look they give you and you feel like you are the only two people in a room of 1,000.
