You can blame somebody for leaving if they just walked away without even trying to save the relationship. In that case, it's not like you didn't do anything but watch them leave, it's more like, nothing you can do will bring them back. Sometimes there's nothing you can do. If a person is going to leave, they are going to leave. There's nothing you can do but watch them walk away.

Sometimes we want people to do certain things without us telling them to. Sometimes out of anger or passion we tell them to leave when we want them to stay,or tell them you hate them when you cant help but love them.

Yes, I would still blame them. They chose to leave. However, I would still blame myself as well. I would always think about what I could have said or done. I would need closer.
Someone did walk away from me and I never blamed him. I blamed myself for not having the courage to tell him that i loved him. Again...trust issues.
I actually did not know he was leaving until he was gone. Had no clue of his plans. He owed me nothing...no explanation, no goodbye. He just left.
