My wife just bought some new cordless phones and they really stink . The ring isn't a normal ring and can't be heard unless your sitting next to one and the volume is way to low even when set on high . I prefer using my cell phone .

My phone is always on vibrate. It's more polite, I'm more prone to hear it actually (I'll sleep through an alarm clock, but not a vibrating phone.) and it doesnt disturb others trying to sleep. Just me. I also use it as an alarm clock.
