Do you poison your garden?

I don't use any type of weed killer in my yard. This year I have let my fence areas grow on their own so I can help sustain wildlife. I even kept a brush pile this winter for birds and bunnies. My veggie and herb gardens are organic with natural compost and fish meal or kelp as fertilizer. I don't believe in keeping big corporations rich, like Monsanto, and poisoning ourselves along the way. I try to plant one new tree or shrub each year in my yard to assist in helping wildlife and oxygen generation for all species. A lot of my shrubs have seeds and berries edible for birds and animals. Thank you for spreading the word on the danger of pesticides and weed killers. Best of luck to you!

Yeah, that's why it's dead.

I do once a year

Never! We get possums, turtles and skunks in our yard, and I enjoy being able to give them a clean, protected space in our stupid strip-mall city.

I want to have a bigger garden, and I want to find ways to repel insects and critters naturally. There are books on these things; I'll have to find one.
