Answers: for the word "drumstick"

ps.. things to consider.. the chicken and the egg question
Someone used a chicken as a drumstick.
Perhaps...
the chicken obviously arrived before the drums did, however the drumsticks were not invented till the drums were plalyed with something other than a hand., The drumstick (leg) of the chicken was not named as such till way after the acutal drumstick was doing its job. did I do that right??
Huh, that's interesting... my guess is that the stick to play the drums can claim dibs since it's the most obvious meaning. Drum-stick. I guess a chicken leg was just a chicken leg until the drum sticks came around... IDK... What do you think?
a stick to play the drums
i agree with alice...maybe in the ancient times our ancestors would catch a chicken, eat it and then celebrate in a festival using the chicken's leg to play the drums....hence the "chicken drumstick".....haha, wow that made no sense at all
