I work 37 hours a week...?!
Question: ...and yet I'm working weekends too! Is there something wrong with me, that I enjoy my job? Do any of you go to lengths like these to get ahead in life, whether at work or not?

I had my own stationary business, and I loved working even 60 hrs a week

I work 70 hours a week (sometimes more), three different jobs, plus go to college and train horses on the side. I really don't have a life outside of work. I'm a workaholic.
my husband works long hours all the time. he does it to help the family out with over time and double time money.
So do you work 37 hours a week total? Or that is just during the week and you also work on weekends? I think we should all work like dogs while we are young, stockpile our money and retire by 40. At least you have motivation to do for yourself, not like alot of people now. They either want their parents to pay for everything or get a check from the welfare office. No self respect.
37 hours at dairy queen is not getting ahead in life hehe..if u want to perfect burger and shake making good job

Only 37? I work at least 48 hours a week.

However, I thoroughly enjoy my job. I'd do mine for free if I had to.
My life is lived well while I'm at work.
You'd have to work more hours to be qualified as a workaholic. You're more of a preoccupied-aholic because you make yourself busy on days that you could've simply had off to relax or go out with a girlfriend or friends and just worked more hours in one day rather than scattering it to keep you at work--hmm maybe that is workaholic. It's questionable because it depends on whether you like having shorter hours everyday therefore scattering to work daily or if you just like going to work everyday. If it's the latter then you are a workaholic, or just really bored outside of work and afraid to have other options.
