I am Vietnamese and I would date Vietnamese. It's not that I am racial, it's because it is much easier for me to communicate and understand because we share the same custom, values, and tradition and culture. I have dated Amerocans before and it doesn't seem to work out becasue when i speak vietnamese to my family he would laugh at my language and that makes me feel really bad.
